North Carolina Park Ranger Training Institute - A 6-day training institute held every January at the North Carolina Justice Academy in Salemburg, N.C. Cost is low and numerous workshops are offered. For more information click here.
North Carolina Fire & Rescue College, Wilkes Community College - A number of fire fighting and rescue certification courses and workshops are offered every November that includes Wildland Fire I and II which are required to work as a firefighter on federal lands.
